Swing is King...Swing is King...Sandesh is the King of SwingDate: 28 Feb 09 Sandesh Nalawade rocked the Saturday event by taking 5 wickets for the first time in the history of the Trigyn Cricket Club.Chasing the target of 79 runs Trigyn A was seeing a comfortable home with the help of a partnership between Naresh and Mahesh. But Sandesh has his own plan, he not only picked up the key batsman but also made sure that Trigyn A never raises their head again and help his team to achieve a comfortable win.Scorecard  Match 1 abandoned due to crowd storming the BMC groundDate: 28 Feb 09 After much hype and expectation from new venue selected for holding TCC matches at BMC ground,Malad (W), the end result was a fiasco when crowd stormed the ground to play. Since it was a public ground the people around the ground came to play their game like regular day. But for Trigynites it was some thing unusual as they were accustomed to play in the ground meant to be played by a single team. Although the ground was big and players were enjoying their shots but the clear lack of co-ordination was seen among the fielding team as they were not able to field properly. The team effort was totally missing because of the players of other game coming in between. Later with the efforts of TCC Board member Gaurang and the local trigyn player Mahesh Ghadge a new ground was searched, which was a near by BMC ground. The Board member decided to abandoned this match and shift to the new ground which was pretty good. The first inning of the match was over by then.  |  Prashant S and Chandrasekhar initial rampage makes a comfortable win28 Feb 2001 In the third match of the day chasing 64 runs to win, Trigyn A opened batting with an attacking mood to take the revenge of the previous match. Banging first two ball out of the boundary of Star bowler Sandesh, who made a five wicket haul in the last match, Prashant S made clear about his intention. Later joined by Chandrasekhar both of them made sure that their team reaches a comfortable win. Attempts were made by Siddik to pinch a hole in the winning fortress by picking up 3 wickets but was not enough to stop Trigyn A from wining. Earlier Trigyn B made a slow start; the lack of co-ordination was seen among the Trigyn B batsman with 5 run outs. Captain Ashwin playing an anchor role and last minute hitting by Siddik helped Trigyn B to score a defendable target. However this was not enough as Trigyn A wins the match with 5 balls remaining. An unfortunate incident happend in this match with Rajesh Sawant hurting himself badly in his finger while saving a boundary. |
