Match 1: The Falcons dared to fly against The Tornadoes

Date 17th April 2009
The first match of the tournament was the perfect start to begin the championship.The Falcons won the match with sheer professionalism displaying their ability to hold on the nerves in difficult moments.
Earlier Falcons captain Ashwin K won the toss and decided to bat.Himanshu opened the innings with totally different flair than his regular play. He and captain Ashwin gave the Falcons a fantastic start which they required in the opener. Himanshu scored 23 runs before being caught & bowled by Inderjeet.With the help of hitting by Narendra and Glenn the Falcons set the target of 86 runs.
The Tornadoes started off very slowly with totally under pressure from the Falcons bowlers Ashwin K and Glenn. However on arrival of the Tornadoes captain Prashant S the course of the game was changed. He thrashed the Falcons by scoring 22 runs including 5 boundaries.The Tornadoes were nearing the victory when Prashant was bowled by Alpesh.The match reached its climax when 10 run was required in last over.With Glenn bowling the last over and Siddik not able to send ball out of boundary of the last ball the Falcons won the match by 3 runs.

Match 2: The Tornadoes fights back

Date 17th April 2009
With the Tornadoes requiring a win to stay in the competition came down heavily against the Gervasio. Siddik opening the batting for the Tornadoes drilled a hole into the Gervasio fortress banging the warrior bowlers and making the score reach 35 runs in just 3 overs.Siddik marked his individual highest of this season scoring 33 runs including 5 boundaries and a six. However after Siddik was caught by a stunning catch on the boundary by Uppu, the Gervasio came back into the game.But still the run cycle which was rolled in the beginning marked  87 runs on the board before it stop. In reply the Gervasio started their run chase but collapsed however some source of recovery came from Bijay who ensured that the Tornadoes doesnt win by a bonus point.

Match 3: Uppu the hottest among the GerVasio who were the coolest team

Date 18th April 2009
The Gervasio started off quite nicely against the Falcons with each of the Gervasio batsman contributing. From the Falcons side captain Ashwin along with spin bowler Dhanesh tightened the grip on the Gervasio. Ashwin picked up 3 wkts and Dhanesh bowling an economic spell picked up 2 wkts. All looked a normal game till Uppu came to the crease to make it a different game for the Gervasio. He started thrashing the Falcons in a move to bring up the target. It was a spectator's delight when Uppu hit 2 sixes of the last two delivery with reverse sweep. But this was not the end of what he wants to deliver in the match.
Chasing the total of 97 runs which was the highest in the tournament the Falcons started of slowly. For the Gervasio the moral boosted by captain Gaurang promted every Gervasio to give their best in the fields.Still the Falcons were slowly moving towards the target and then came Uppu who nailed down the Falcons picking up 4 important wkts. It was an overall great performance by the Gervasio playing with true team spirit and the best of which was displayed by their star performer Uppu.The Gervasio won the match by 13 runs.
