Debutant flourished in lowest total

Date: 24 October 2009
The new ground at Matunga was finally awarded with the TCC matches after evaluating couple of more grounds. The game started with very high spirit however soon Trigyn A faced a difficult situation after debutant Maheshwar crumpled the top order with his fabulous bowling performance. He took two key wickets to restrict Trigyn A to lowest ever total in the history of TCC matches. Barry who was playing the first game of this season was beautifully bowled by him. With supportive good bowling from Uppu, Sreedhar and Rahul Trigyn A were bowled out for mere 18 runs. Chasing this total Trigyn B were comfortably placed home with some beautiful stroke played by another debutant Paraag. In short both the debutant Maheshwar and Parag displayed their class and won a game for their team.

Chasing mammoth total Trigyn A initially crumbled but then wonderful partnership by Rohan and Siddik revived the hope. Naresh efforts in vain to save first tied match of TCC history

Another low scoring but the excitement filled game of the day. Winning the toss captain Rohan decided to chase and payback the wound Trigyn B have given in the first game. Barry started off with a revenge by uprooting the middle stump of Maheshwar taking the revenge of the first game. Trigyn B were restricted to 28 runs only. Chasing the low total Trigyn A fall into a difficult situation when the top order throw away their wicket with an intention to finish off earlier. However Naresh Jhaker kept hold of one end of the wicket when he displayed his class while surviving the fiery bowling from Maheshwar, Uppu and Rahul. With Siddik coming into the other end the victory for Trigyn A was certain. However after Rahul got rid of Siddik the match became tense. With 6 runs required of 3 overs Trigyn B captain Uppu handled his bowler pretty well with continues discussion with the senior players. Finally 2 runs required of last over Anup was given command to try and win the match. Anup hold his nerve and his discipline bowling in last over helped Trigyn B to tie the match. With Naresh carrying the bat throughout the inning was helpless to watch the tie match first in the history of TCC as he regularly lost support from other end.

Man of the match: Naresh Jhaker
